Raleigh polish/wax

I'm restoring a typical 3-speed Raleigh Sports. So far, I've been using foil/WD 40 to clean the chromed areas. I've been trying to research waxing/polishing but am not sure what to get. Do certain kinds of polish ruin bike coat frames? Meguiars seems to be the brand of choice but I'm not sure which products to actually go with. There are so many!

I'm more a fan of Meguiars #7 followed by a wax. The 3-step system and many other modern approaches are often formulated for modern clearcoat paint.

I've been using Turtlewax rubbing compound for the last few years, the liquid, not the paste version. It's pretty gentle though I'd be extra careful around any decals.

Thanks all. I'm going with the #7 and the carnuba wax.

Now, I've just gotta hope I didn't ruin this whole project by deforming the threads to one of the cotter pins...

Been using this for years on my vintage cars and bicycles, 1 step, works great. And, it’s from merry old England, just like your Raleigh, hopefully.

My holy trinity:

Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 polish
Mothers Caranuba Wax
Turtle metal polish
