Also, there are a five Montana state parks on/near the route that have hiker/biker spots with nice amenities for cyclists. Covered picnic tables with power outlets, repair clamps, pea gravel, tent pads, water and food storage lockers. Both also have showers and camp sinks. $12/night/person for non-residents. I have stayed at two while doing road tours: Wayfarers State Park in Bigfork and Whitefish Lake State Park in Whitefish. Rangers at both places told me they don't turn cyclists away even if the tent pads are all occupied. The other parks are Bannack, Placid Lake and Swan Lake. The later two are a bit south of the town of Seeley Lake.
