I FF past the slow uninteresting parts - so yeah, that's most of the ending. Some great footage though - got me motivated for this morning's ride. Amazon Prime so the price was right.

Yes watched a good bit of it.

It's just to decide the running order for the jerseys on the 2nd day but it was interesting from a GC point of view to see Thomas opening up a clear time-advantage on some of his main rivals.

I was interested watching stage 2 as I've cycle toured much of that route eastwards into Agrigento.

I'm looking forward to today's run up Mount Etna.

as well. will be a good litmus test to see which gc guys are firing now, which that hope to ride themselves into shape and those that are completely written off the books.

with this year being as bizarro as it is, not above the realm of possibility for a potential gc rider to go 5+ minutes down on gc after stage three and resurrect
their gc chances in the last week or before. this year's amount of giro gc contenders seems to be weaker than previous editions. if carapaz were here now,
i wouldn't make that statement. doesn't mean it won't be competitive and a blast.

did post some of the blow by blow from the first tt within this forum. there was much constipated duck.

From the fan's perspective, exciting TTs are the exception, rather than the rule.

The Tour showed that saving the time trial for the end ups the excitement

Early on, do a team time trial

There are two ITTs to come, one on stage 14 (hilly34Kms) and another on the final day (flat16Kms). This prologue-TT isn't going to make a difference to the excitement level of the 2020 Giro.
