Kuat arch ?

I was looking at my Kuat yesterday and noticed the platforms are ever so slightly arched downwards. Until very recently we’ve only loaded it with very light carbon road bikes so I’m wondering if they are made that way and I just never noticed?

My Kuat Sherpa 2.0 is like that. I am fairly confident it is there by design. Bending these things is actually quite hard (requires someone rear-ending you in their car, in our experience.)
