Are Polar HRMs still on the market.? I haven’t found them in Amazon, Nashbar, or eBay.

Polar and Suunto have been struggling in the watch business. Garmin is aggressively competing on features, Fitbit has done well on price, and Apple has eaten some of the market.

Looks like Polar is discontinuing their bike computers. For HRM they still have the H10 but they just released a new H9 which for some reason undercuts the H10 they currently have on the market.

DCRainmaker just did a review of the Polar H9 which was released to be more cost competitive relative to the H10 since Garmin and Wahoo undercut the H10 on price.

Unrelated but I have a H7 HRM strap and it has been working flawlessly for years. Just swap the battery about every 6-12 months depending on the battery quality. That being said, my Wahoo cadence and speed sensor about 1/2 as long and same thing; rock solid. I assume their HRM would be equally as durable.

Banned.
I had a Polar a few years ago. It was OK. I switched to a Tickr and found it much more reliable and comfortable and longer lasting. It was also cheaper.
