Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

that guy is well known in the C&V forum... he's got a ton of bikes, all at insane prices. He causes people to think their old bike is some hidden gem, and it's not uncommon for people to place ads with wording like "same bike is listed on ebay for thousands of dollars". Supposedly someone has found an ebay ad printed out and taped to a bike at a garage sale (or was it a thift store? i forget)

According to the description the Gary Fisher has special weilded tubing, which is much better than wielding. I also noticed a "70's era" quill stem he has listed at $99. The seller is high. The stem looks like it's a big box store bike stem, based on the design and exposed bolt. The last time I went to a used bike sale at a local Recycle-a-bike, they had boxes filled with those stems. Nobody wants them, since that design was never used on a decent bike.

NOS? Why is it scratched to hell?

This one is a double shot
https://providence.craigslist.org/bik/3706762998.html

and the shop listed on the CL ad.

https://beardmanbicycles.com/

It's like CL threw up. Some people really shouldn't wear skinny jeans.

https://providence.craigslist.org/bik/3717043758.html

The "rare" model. They only made 9,999 of these last year, instead of the usual 10,000.

https://providence.craigslist.org/bik/3763690651.html

Seriously proof read your ad before posting is it $600 or is it $250? And I'm pretty sure those "tan wall" tires are gum walls.

https://providence.craigslist.org/bik/3765238641.html
Setting a new bar for lazy. No pic, no description, and the name of the town is Cumberland, not cumb. I'm shocked that they spelled out diamond.

https://providence.craigslist.org/bik/3747552058.html
The word "vintage" should be banned on CL. I could use that Cannondale front fork though.

I've had quite a few 28" sewups and even a few clinchers. It's a Euro thing.

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3776793706.html $500 Seems a bit steep to what seems to be a sweetfixy.com build. The part that I like is "I hand selected every part to this bike with quality in mind.".

Too small for me but this seems like a pretty good deal, for a beater.
