The DT Swiss came with my new Allez Sprint, but I swapped them almost straight away for the Fulcrums, which I already had, which look more the part. I only rode the R460s on it for one short ride so I don't really know how they compare. Did I make the correct choice swapping them for the Fulcrums do you think?

You own both, you are in a better position than anyone else in here to determine which ones you prefer.

Yeah, but like I said, I've already swapped them, and it would be a major pain to swap them back. The DT Swiss now have 28 mm tyres on, which I've found won't fit the Allez, so it would mean having to mess about with tyres and tubes too. And then there the other uncontrollable factors to consider which could make comparisons difficult. I was hoping someone with more experience of these wheels and bikes in general might have an opinion. The DT Swiss aren't very aero at all, where as the Fulcrums are 35 mm deep, have bladed spokes, and fewer of them. The DT Swiss just seem like bog standard wheels, with basic spokes and hubs. As far as I can tell they weigh almost the same, but I only have a cheap Chinese luggage set of scales, which I have no idea of the accuracy of.

Well yeah, but it's still a hassle.

Judging from reviews the Fulcrums are supposed to be really good (which is why I bought them in the first place), and, like I say, they fit the bike, so I could just leave them on I guess. I don't suppose any difference is going to be that massive. I mean it's not like the Fulcrums are mediocre wheels.

The Fulcrum are better. They also look the part as you say. Don't sweat it.
