I give my fosters drinking straws as toys. The best part is when they have it in their mouth, turn their head, and tap themselves in the rump with a straw. Then they think it's another kitten trying to steal it and take off with it.

Tuckered...

Tuckered out after a full day of Christmas tree harassment!
Max paid no attention to the tree until the presents started to show up!
Has developed an interesting game of pull the, “From Santa, to_ _ _ _” stickers, off..., has put his paws through two wrapped packages, etc.
Happy Holidays!

Holiday house sitting the neighbor's cat. I have cycling socks and gloves with the same name, Gizmo.

And this is our Tigger enjoying the same California winter sunshine on our dirty patio. When they were little they used to play together, but Gizmo is mostly an indoor kitty now.

In my experience, black cats are the best.

This was Booger in 2013. He's long gone, but the memories are sweet. He was sometimes very affectionate and sometimes rambunctious and cruel. The flame of his life burned very brightly and briefly, and I have no regrets.

When I was buried in medical bills for him, @rootboy opened a funding campaign, and I will never forget that and my gratitude.

This is my sister's cat Cheeto. My sister found her tangled in the tree screaming for help. Good thing she was home.

Home to snap a photo, or to help the cat?

It must be those FAKE trees.

I asked her the same thing. She said she walked in the room just after taking a picture so she quickly snapped one as her husband reached for the cat.

My daughter and her wife have two cats and a dog. One cat hid the whole time we visited. The dog has her own dog bed but lay in the cat bed for a while. Then she moved over and the cat took the cat bed.

Vic likes sleeping on a neck pillow, the kind you use on an airplane. I just don't know what's going on under there

Yup, that's how it works.

I remember getting a nice comfy pillow bed for the dog .....

Hah!

I recognize that. Had the same problem (with cats, not wife). Our solution was to get a third cat. That worked out very well. It was a Siamese, called Leo by us, and "The Peacemaker" by most everyone else. Everyone else was right.
