^Good times.
Went for a quick 20 miles in the east bay hills while my daughter was at swim team.
Also stopped by one of the best bakeries around, Acme Bread Co. (acclaimed food critic & curmudgeon Jeffery Steingarten attests they make the best French bread in America, and I can't argue. The smell when you walk in the door is incredible!).

More great rides. All I do most days is ride the same ol' roads to and from work.

Here in NH the nice riding weather is quickly coming to an end as the foliage wanes as well. I went out for what was going to be a metric century that turned into almost 75 miles when I missed a turn. The weather and the scenery were just unbelievably perfect. One of my best days on a bike, ever. The neon rocket ship performed beautifully even on the rail trail that had been kind of chopped up by equestrians. The pictures don't even do justice to what I saw.

Went for a 50km ride and a lot of it was on some dirt roads near here. It was raining lightly and that made things VERY interesting on some of the dirt roads. that's because some of those dirt roads are clay and thafine wet clay was like riding on grease. Sometimes the entire bike would slide sideways a good foot or so on that wet clay surface.
Cheers

@gaucho777 Mmmm French bread. @Vonruden Time well spent indeed. @BluesDaddy You have sold me on a trip to NH. The first photo of the lake is especially attractive.

Yes! Come up and ride the Northern Rail Trail, which passes right next to that lake.

^Nice reflective shot, northbend. The bike is as pretty as the scenery.
I went out for a late afternoon ride of ~35 miles, over the east bay hills, around the San Pablo Reservoir, explored a new-to-me climb up Happy Valley Rd. (2nd & 3rd shot below), through Lafayette and Orinda, and back over Wildcat Canyon Road to make it back to Berkeley just before sunset (Golden Gate bridge barely visible in the distance in the last photo).

I went riding (yes)terday.
First to the local farmer's market:
Then out for a little ride south of town.
I need to get my real camera out again.

My daughter had her last XC meet of the season yesterday. I rode out to watch and then meandered up around Arlington. Was a great fall day here, mid 50s and sun.
My kid placed 50th out of over 180 girls in her division.
