Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How much fuel is required for an airplane to take off and fly to an airport 15 miles away?

Discuss.

Jet fuel is similar, like diesel# 1. That plane uses gasoline, av gas.

Roughly how many miles per gallon would that kind of plane fly? I have no idea.

altitude? tail wind/head wind? cessna 172 at cruise burns around 9-11 gallons an hour. Cruise at about 120 knots indicated. If I was flying to an airport 15 mins away I would prolly only climb to about 2500 feet. So I would call it to be safe about 8 gallons. Burn will increase during take off and climb.

So we had a mix up with our mattress that we had on order that was supposed to be delivered today with our new bedroom furniture. It was supposed to come in on 8/23. I called yesterday only to find out it was now coming in November. Needless to say, I was a little mad that nobody called to inform me of this.

I spoke with the owner, raised my issue (that nobody called)and he apologized up and down and wanted to make it right, so we went to try out a bunch of in stock mattresses. We picked out a different one that he suggested, turns out it was $1k than what we bought (we never looked at prices) and they ate the difference.

If they had just called, we probably would have paid the difference to make sure we actually had a mattress to sleep on, but I’m not going to complain.

I hope so, not entirely positive I like this more than the other one, but I’m also not interested in sleeping in my guest room for the next 2 months.
