Italian bike brands and modern manufacturing

Strong Walker
When the CFK Era really started to kick in, price lists were fun to read. I do remember one from Fondriest that had a couple of different frames, the lower end (4-5 different choices) were in the 2000€ price range and obviously made in Asia, the top two models were made in Italy and cost about 2.5x that..
Speaking of which, the WR compositi stuff is made in Italy, the company had vast experience in CFK before entering the bike accessories market. They know what they are doing.

I thought that was pretty comical too. A bike forum that mainly acts to document, and enterprise, to be ushered by a user self interests. Which is cool too, and so is this thread. Nice

Simonelli carbon fiber?
Years ago, I picked up a pair of what appear to be carbon fiber Simonelli frames. I keep looking for information on their origin, but I always come up empty.
I would add pictures, but until I post 10 times, I am not allowed

Nope! Nothing like that.
These are dark purple and fade to almost white on the front of the tubes and just above the bottom bracket, they curve to follow the rear wheel.

Any idea how I can find out a bit more about the Doniselli I have acquired from my father-in-law. He bought it second-hand in 1948. I have emailed the shop in Milan and received a brief response but guess they do not speak English. I do not speak Italian.

You will probably get more information if you start a separate thread about this bike with the word "Doniselli" in the subject line. As a new member you can't post photos to a thread until you have made 10 posts but you can upload the photos to an album on your member profile page, then some kind soul here can upload them to the thread.
Member @iab might provide some valuable insight on an Italian bike purchased second hand in 1947.

Perhaps but the cage decoration is interesting; I do not think I've ever seen that before.

Another example of an Italian sounding bike that isn't. Guiseppe Limongi was actually born in France, and this example has Mavic components, but was also built in Trois Rivieres Quebec
