Good Price for 2015 Specialized Roubaix SL4 Pro
Haggling with a guy over a decent used 2015 Specialized Roubaix SL4 Pro. What's a good price point?

If not mistaken it came with Ultegra and disc brakes (Shimano). That is an old frame design and not my favorite. When test riding them I always had the impression I was piloting a truck and not a performance bike.
Oh, the price? What are you willing to pay for it? Myself it has a value between 1200 and 1500 provided it is in seriously excellent condition.

Well a local guy wants 800 for a pretty scuffed up/used one. It's not my size so I figure I could harvest the wheelset, group and Specialized carbon cranks and wait for the perfect frameset. Seems like "maybe" I could save a couple hundred going this route?

How "scuffed up" are the components? Typically a frame that is showing wear means everything else along with it has that same level of wear on it.
