I was searching for a deal on either: a Nouvo Tipo front hub to go with my rear or a Revord rear to go with my front and simultaneously, I was trying to sell my White Industries Ti rear hub (that I have had forever because I couldn't find a matching front) to finance the purchase. Then, for kicks, I look again for a WI front hub and VOILA! Ready to put these on my new TB-14s.

Found an unused Carradice Junior on British eBay. Thought it would look good on my SilverAce project.

And in true Carradice fashion, made by Jis (If I read that correctly) Lis!

Mad Honk sent me these, 7 spd index or friction Shimano bar cons. There’s no end of the bike build shifts or project rethinks now!

I have never used Shimano in this style, always Suntour. Eager to get my hands dirty!

Thanks again!

I like the Shimano more than the Suntour. That little curve seems to give it better leverage.

I’ve been considering my shoe options for Eroica California. Walking up Canyon Mountain Road in my smooth-bottomed Dettos didn’t seem realistic, and new touring shoes are on the pricey side. I found these Sidis on eBay in my size and at a good price, so I bought them. They show only slight wear and they’re a model I’ve never seen, but I’ll give them a few rides to see how they feel in the clips.

I finally found an engraved pair of C-Record cranks to match the RD on my Masi. I now worry that these might be the first component I've bought that's too nice to use. Dated 84, so first year.

A mint condition Carradice overlander saddlebag. Got it from an overly enthusiastic night on eBay where I ended up bidding and winning multiple Carradice bags so I might pass this on to someone who gets better use out of this.

Suntour French threaded freewheel

I spent about an hour clicking on every listing selling a Suntour Perfect freewheel on EvilBay. And I finally found this (actual photo from Ebay listing) below:

Yup. It seems like it says "metric" and "34.7 x 1.00" on the extractor boss. It wasn't listed as French threaded. It wasn't listed with any threading specified at all! A risky decision, because of that and because the seller was selling several other identical ones, all with English threading. What if the seller sent me the wrong one? It is marked "SJ" - 1976 October - so as Anton Chigurh would say, it's been traveling 43 years to get here. And now it's here. And it's either metric or English. And I had to say. Call it.

A week later, here it is! And it is, indeed metric. Phew! What's the most you've ever lost on an Ebay listing?

I really like that colour. My AO-8 is more of a fire engine red in most light conditions. It is a little closer to yours at twilight. I wish my pump pegs were located in the same spot as yours instead of the downtube.

Nice find, I've been looking for a 30 or 34t for my '78 PR10, but only found a 28t so far. I've only looked for French or metric. Sounds like you got lucky.👍

Some Maes Kint handlebars and a Gazelle allen key set.
Unfortunately these do not have the classic 27mm clamp size but I will probably build something out of brass or something.

600 Tricolor left crank arm, to complete a set (kind of). I bought a right arm from TenGrainBread a few months ago. Same model number FC-6400, but the right arm doesn't have the tricolor graphic. But the rest of the lettering is the same, and shape-wise, etc. it's a perfect match.

Going on Ruby, my slightly mysterious '82 Trek 400 series. It previously had a splendid mismatch of an Arabesque right arm and SuperMaxy left. Shipped the left arm to sd5782 , who bought an orphaned SM right arm. So from four random parts come two complete matched cranksets.
