I know I have the long cage version sitting on my work bench. Moved it out of my way last night.

Makes sense. If you hang around long enough you just might find what you need.

Not yet but I have a couple leads. If you don't mind checking your stash, I'd be thankful!

Oh well if it's in decent shape then let's talk. Long cage would be cool.

And thanks again for those Campy skewers, they were perfect for my need.

New to biking and learning the parts, but can anyone speak on the quality of Nitto stems? More specifically I found a vintage Nitto young stem off an 80s Fuji bike I may purchase. Would like to know if it's a good stem before I pull the trigger.

Sorry if this is the incorrect thread.

I have a short cage of rider quality. Hasn't been wrecked, but minor scratching makes the decal not pristine. I can PM pics later if the other long cage doesn't do it for you.

Super cool, thanks Dave. Will see what pans out with John's long cage and will let you know.

Nitto stems are great quality, generally speaking. The one you shared pics would clean up nicely with a little elbow grease and a rag.

Haven't had a Nitto product fail on me. Just make sure the clamp diameter and reach are what you need for your bar and setup.

And if you don't find what you're looking for here, you get an idea of what can be had, and you'll know if you have to go to craigslist, ebay, or even buying new.

Right, and that's actually where I started. But I have a couple weeks til the actual build, and we're under some unique COVID circumstances, so I thought my chances might be better here.

ISO: Dust cap

I have a pair of Specialized pedals. And as can be seen in the photo, one dust cap is missing. I believe they’re made by MKS.

Co-op is closed until further notice.

So here’s hoping someone may have an orphan cap, or possibly a pair of caps they might be willing to part with. Either a smooth facing as shown, or MKS branding is fine.

Have: $ and a small trade stash

Thanks for looking!

deux jambes I have a smooth orphan cap that looks a lot like yours. Measures about 22mm at the threads. (my digital calipers died so I can't give you a better measurement.) If you think this will work for you pm me your address and it's yours. It's been sitting in my orphan parts box for way too long!

smontanaro thanks for the link. Somehow, I missed those in my hunt. I really like ‘em and think they’d make perfect hoods for my project. I may be tempted to resign the Somas to the parts bin, and order a pair next payday.

Just got a pair of Shimano hybrid pedals and don't really have a use for these Ascent Terras. Looks like they aren't worth much, so if anyone wants them for the price of shipping, just shoot me a pm

ISO: Non-drive side crank for Stronglight 99 crankset. Length 170mm and 9/16 - 20 pedal threads. Have a small stash to share with or can pay cash. Also interested in those pesky Stronglight metal dustcaps that are always rolling into drains, dark corners, under the car in the garage, etc. One more also, affordable reasonably good 51t or 52t outer chainring for Stronglight 93 crankset. I better stop or I'll appear to be very needy (which I am!).

Thx!

I'm very interested in those cyclones.... But don't have a TA triple, so what else could I tempt you with? Shimano 600 tri color parts, in good shape, especially shiny NOS chrome pedals w/clips, I have lots of Campy NR and Cinelli stems/bars. Mint Campy clamps, crank dust caps, or seatpost bolts maybe?

Thanks. I've thought about it, and all I need is a triple TA spindle, ref. 373 or 374. I can buy one from Germany, but it's too expensive.

Yeah, I spent a year trying to source one that didn’t require a small loan - they’re few and far between. Finally found one here through a generous member.

Speaking of dustcaps, I was walking my 'hood yesterday (mask on, 6 feet from everybody who would comply) and saw something shiny in the dry gutter. It's a slighly scratched up Sakae metal dustcap with a 5mm hex-hole in center and 2 small flats on the threads (intentionally made that way). Tested in 2 crankarms, screws in fine. Whoever wants it: first PM to me with an address and I will mail it gratis, sharing the good fortune! Would be even better if it got back to the SF citizen who lost it, but...loooong shot!

EDIT: claimed!

Thanks everyone for the help. I was able to get 2 pairs of brake pad holders but by the looks it seems one pair is SR and the other NR? I'm ok with it considering it was a bit difficult to locate these.

thanks again.
