What's in YOUR garage?

I was just curious how many bicycles everyone has. Do you have just one bike that you use for touring, commuting, day-long road riding near home, etc.; or do you have multiple bikes for different uses?

Great question! In my single car garage along with my 1961 LoneStar Malibu boat and 2 1970's 16' cedar and canvas canoes are:
1980's Norco Bush Pilot MTB/commuter with fenders and rack(winter commuter)
1980's Bianchi Paggio 12 speed road bike (usually at the cottage, home for the winter)
1980's VeloSport Appalache 15 speed touring bike with panniers(my usual commuter)
1990's Norco BigFoot hardtail MTB
1990's Raleigh MTB (my wife's)
1970's Raleigh Superbe 3 speed (my wife's)
1980's Steve Bauer Boreas 12 speed road bike

It gets a little crowded in there. ( I have another 3 bikes in the basement!)

Besides our S&S coupled MTB tandem and the kids bikes, there's a custom full suspension for my wife, a custom hardtail for me, my Cannondale XC race bike, and my 24" Haro BMX race bike. We're hoping to add another 24" BMX for my wife soon.

-1980 Pogliaghi with SR group (racing & semi-retrosnob bike that I never ride. I only like it because it was my Dad's and because it's beautiful to look at).
-1996 Jamis Aragon, partially rotted out and in need of restoration (hybrid commuter; currently unrideable).
-2002 Bianchi San Remo Light Touring (my current constant ride and grocery/tourer bike).

In August or whenever they finish making it:
-2005 Mercian 'King of Mercia' Custom Heavy Touring with Rohloff - a gift to myself for quitting driving. This will be my loaded tourer until it gets stolen and I commit suicide over it.

and...
-1985 Club Fuji, just the battered frame and a SunTour Superbe Pro crankset (criterium frame, I think)

newish specialized mountian bike with a rack used for anything my heart desires,
90's specialized lugged carbon fiber (epic?) road racing bike for any thing my heart desires on the road.
Perception Carolina kayak that wishes I would mountain bike less
Tons of backpack, tents and other backpacking supplies that either I built, bought or won.
No money in the bank account for that touring bike I want for riding dirt roads and touring... someday.
Crappy lawn mower, pots... Some people use their garage for putting a car in but I've yet to figure out how the fit it in.

As for myself, I only have my new Mikado Magellan (touring bike) and my old Cannondale T600 which I'll try to sell this summer. I don't have space for more bikes than that but I am still considering getting some cheap second hand MTB and adapt it for my commuting needs.

I don't have a garage, I don't own a car and I'm proud. I do however have lots of bikes.

I somehow feel I've missed one of two.

No garage, but hanging out in the living room/storage are a Surly LHT, a Trek 520, an old Peugoet road bike, a Cannondale 600 road bike, a steel MTB for the winter commute, and a Schwinn cruiser w/ grocery baskets. I'm thinking about another bike, a steel road bike. The LHT is pretty much new, and I'm on the fence about which bike is a better tourer, the 520 or the LHT. The LHT feels more stable at speed, and can take larger tires, but the 520 is fully capable.

Am I suppossed to count skis? (7 pr BC-XC-Tele-wood)

No Garage here. I do have two bicycles in my living room:
    2005 Rivendell Atlantis
    2003 Novara Safari

I pretty much just ride the Atlantis now and could own only it. However I like to have a backup ride as I commute daily and waking up to discover a flat tire often means I have to drive (I'm always right on the edge timewise). Also I'm getting more interested in off-road touring and while the Atlantis would serve admirably, I want to convert the Safari to be more specialized in this area. It will also be the winter commuter.

Oh and I have a late 80s Specialized Hard Rock on my porch that is only still around cause I've been too lazy to deal with it. Now that BBQ season is picking up I need to get it off the porch I did ride this bicycle for commuting and general riding from the mid nineties till I got the Safari.

One new high end road bike that I ride only on dry days, another road bike (used to be my best before the latest) that I ride when commuting and on rainy days, a fixed gear track bike for just fun and early spring training, and one older road bike I keep at the marina for weekend rides.

FREIGHT CONTAINER? That is awesome. How'd you get a hold of that? I can't wait until I own enough land to get a freight container without pissing off the neighbors

you can even make a passable, comfy house by using several shipping containers...as seen in architectural digest! Then the garage/storage/house lines would blur..
