looking to race

Hey, Im new to the forum and hope this is in the right place.
I have some questions about racing. First, I know there are cat 5, 4, 3, and so on but what skill level does it really take to move up in them? And whats it take to start at cat5? I've read this thread- ttp://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-78097.html and theres some good stuff in it but where do you find the races? Anyone have any links to help? Thanks.

And how about Lances comeback??? 3rd place isnt bad.

All it takes to start racing Cat 5 is a bicycle, and a helmet.

Insurance is good too.

Depends. Some people move up quickly and some never do.
