Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone stateside use cannondale-parts.de?

I recently got a promotion at work, so I'm spoiling myself on at least one thing. They seem to have the best price on the 10 arm spidering I can find at $170 after exchange rates. With it seeming almost too good to be true (LBS said it would be $250), I'm wondering what others experiences have been with them recently.
Thanks!

I have never ordered from them, but if you weren't in that big of a hurry, I'd just watch ebay. There's a 10 arm on there right now for $200 and I've seen new takeoffs locally selling for as low as $100, but usually in the $150 range.

Thanks, but I'm looking for the elusive 52/36 10 arm crank. I have been checking ebay multiple times daily since the summer for a few things. I was able to source 100mm and 110mm c1 2014 stems, and a 42mm and just now a 44mm c1 handlebar.
If you have a link to one of the 52/36 10 arm spidering for sub $200 please pm me!

edit:Turns out it was too good to be true. They have the info and photo listed for the 10 arm crank. But the part number shows that it's actually the 8 arm. I still have a few things I wanted from them anyway

Also thank you for having the broken picture in your sig. I was curious, and now have learned how AWESOME veloviewer is. The 3d map makes me feel like my course is an f1 track.

RVA, eh? There's a 9 in 10 chance we've ridden together at some point.

I live on the capital trail. Right at the S Laburnum light. I've got some videos of the UCI race going past my driveway.
If you see someone on a green caad 12 going much slower than they think they are, it's probably me!

Nice, if you ever want to try a new group ride a bunch of us meet up at Union Market in Church Hill on Sundays for a ride out in that area, 42 miles and varying paces depending on who shows up. We leave at 11 AM during the winter, there's a facebook group if you want to check it out. Our return leg comes pretty close to where you live so you'd be able to cut out early if you wanted.

Argh, yeah you're right, I'm only showing the 8 arm in the mid compact. If I happen across any, I'll let you know.

Bummer that the picture is broken, not sure what's up there, however, because you mentioned it, I noticed a lost a KOM to a driver...flagged him for it, haha.

@Dan333SP: I've never tried riding with other people before, I'll have to try it sometime when the weather is nicer maybe sunday

@SpeshulEd: I think I've settled on this one then from westbrookcycles After everything, with a k-edge chain catcher it'd be $218 after shipping.
How could you tell they were a driver?
I know I'll never get any KOMs here. The UCI race course was pretty much everywhere I ride. One segment my best avg is 19mph, KOM is 33mph!

Did the 8 arms just come out, I don't think I've ever noticed there was even a difference before. I had to go check my bikes to see what they had, haha.

As for the KOM, the guy had an average speed of over 40mph for a 23 mile trip. Not only was he driving, he was speeding! haha. Most of my KOMs are on slow segments between my house and work, ride them enough and sooner or later you have good legs on the same day as a good tail wind and you just go all out.

I got a 10 arm from stage21bikes.com last year. I was skeptical but they shipped quick and I had no issues.

It's $250 there, but if you want 10 arm over 8 they at least claim it's in stock.

Thanks, that is who my LBS buys through. When I went in asking them about it, they pulled up the same site I had been looking at home. If I am going to pay $250, I'd just buy it from them. But I'm a cheapskate so I'm probably not

I've bought things from them - no issue whatsoever and reasonably fast delivery to me in Australia.

cheers
