IQ-X Disassembly Question
Have any of you every taken apart a B+M IQ-X? I've got a four year old one that started giving me some trouble. I plan to replace it but I'd love take it apart for a fun little project first. The housing is clearly three separate pieces but I can't get them apart no matter how I twist. There's always the possibility there some corrosion holding things together but I'm stumped!

Buy an identical replacement, and keep the old one. If the new light starts giving you trouble, you can open the worst one with your choice of a Dremel or a three pound sledge. How to disassemble the other one should be obvious.

Hahaha, that's basically where I came down on it too. There's a new one in the mail and the old one is sitting in a box now.

I can never remember how B&M lights come apart. I want to take a Cyo apart and the most obvious thing isn't how it comes apart

Thanks for the pictures, it looks like the guts of this light are too big for the case.

A bit late to the party but nonetheless i throw in two useful links for disassembly with a lot of pictures. However, there is a catch, those are written in german, sorry...

My German is pretty rusty but my reading comprehension is still mostly okay so I'm enjoying the original!
