Where to Find a Miche Advanced Crank Arm?

Long story short, my crank arm bolt came loose on my Miche Advanced crankset and I (stupidly) rode on it for a little bit. As a result my non-drive side crank arm is a little rounded and, despite a little loctite loving, keeps coming loose. Lame. Anywho, I'd like to find a single replacement crank arm so I don't have to drop a bunch of loot on a new pair. Help me BF! I've searched around without any luck. Any ideas on where to find one?

I have the same cranks, same thing happened.
You can search ebay, that's about it.

Try putting some aluminum foil around the spindle before sliding it into the crank arm. Helps, ish.

You can get a generic replacement arm if you don't care about them matching. Cheaper and easier to find then a matching one.

What you need is a Delorean equipped with a flux capacitor so you can go back in time to when you should have been performing routine maintenance on your bike.

the improper installation was the problem. proper maintenance wouldnt help as much.

Get your LBS to get in touch with the Miche Distributor they could probably help you out. they tend to have replacement arms in stock for this very reason.

I don't know who that is in the states, but here in canada it's cycles marinoni.

non drive side arms are generally quite cheap, you might want to consider a new BB if the old one is rounded at all

+1 As long as they're the same length you probably won't feel stupid. This also nets you pretty decent cred.

From searching teh intarwubs this seems to be a common problem with this crankset. That said, yeah I should've tightened em' down when they first came loose.

Thanks for all the great ideas kids! I think I'll try out Kol.klink's idea first as this is my Nice Bike and I'd like to have matching crank arms. If it were my beater I would def. just use mismatched arms. Good call about replacing the BB. Luckily the crank arms are way softer than the BB so the spindle didn't get damaged at all. Meantime, I'm definately gonna try out this tinfoil idea. Never heard that before.

Oh, please explain what complex and integral part of the Square Taper Crank Installation process the OP missed?

Do you think it was the "put spindle in hole" step, or the "tighten bolt real hard" step?

Even "properly installled" crank arms can come loose sometimes. It's best to make a habit of checking the bolts regularly.

My Miche cranks are holding up just fine. And they were run over once.
