I was in REI the other night and happened upon these things. I didn't catch model names but there were quite a few options. These things were so soft and comfy that I almost fell asleep!

I upgraded my helmet this season - replaced my previous winter helmet, a skate helmet "borrowed" from a child who no longer skates, with a snowboard helmet. It is soft and cushy and amazing.

I wish I'd discovered these things earlier. (I have never been skiing or snowboarding, nor do I intend to do so.)

That's where those snowboard apparel companies have started learning their lessons and marketing to bikers as well. I bought myself a Bern G2 a few winters back and love it. Makes the winter commute so nice, but I'm not sure why anyone would ever wear it in warmer weather as it's too covering -- if it goes about 34/35 I don't use it.
