26" Sun Buzz carbon deep section rims - value?
Happy 4th, everyone! This is a wheelset I picked up at a swap earlier this year. Never seen anything like it, so asking for a little help.
Sun Buzz 26" deep section carbon wheels. Rear hub is a Sun coaster brake, front hub is White Industries.
Anyone venture a guess as to value?
Thanks in advance!

I don't think that is a Sun hub. 26" MTB wheels or 26x1?

Could be 26 x 1, Bianchigirll, good thought.
I just swapped in the front wheel on one of my 650c road bikes, and it fit like a glove. So these wheels might not be MTB, they could be road/performance wheels, with the rear laced to a wonky coaster brake hub of who knows origin.
Sun / Ringle HQ is in the same state where I live. I wonder if they remember these wheels or hub at all. There's not much on the interwebs.

These are triathlon oriented 650C rims built into a S/S hipster wheels. Consequently, the market appeal will be extremely limited without a rebuild. Even though the front hub is good, it's a strange build, using non-aero, radial spokes. One unknown remains; are they the tubular or wired-on version? Frankly, given the cost of a rebuild and new rear hub, I don't see a lot of value.

Bianchigirll - no, that's not my roadbikereview post. I just picked these up a few months ago.
T-Mar - thanks, that's what I suspected. I wasn't that interested until I saw the White Industries hub. Even if the rims were toast, I could use the hub, so it all works out for me.

Agree they look to be tri or time trial 650 wheels. With the really odd build using cheap Sun coaster brake with cheap spokes on rear not worth a lot. Maybe $100-150 for the front wheel and about that for parts $50 each on the rims if there good and $30-40 for the white hub and $100-150 on the front only if it's in really good shape with the ti spokes. I'm pretty sure these came with white hubs and ti spokes originally so the front wheel may be original and good. If you have a use for the front wheel I would just use it. Myself I just wouldn't want the rear after being built up and used with a coaster brake vintage carbon just doesn't seem to go with cheap coaster brake very well.

Thanks, zukahn1. I didn't suspect ti spokes on the front wheel until you mentioned it. That's enough to keep the front wheel intact. Otherwise I'd be tempted to swap the coaster brake hub for something more appropriate and ride them myself.
