Trek 10 Speed
Very limited info from seller's ad.
Seller calls it a Trek 10 Speed, I looked at photos and don't see any stickers.
Per ad "it was designed by Tim Isaacs and has Champagnolo components, It is very lightweight and the frame appears to be aluminum. I think this bike was manufactured sometime between 1980 and 81."
I thought that Trek didn't make aluminum frames until the late 80's. Not sure what to think so asking here
I like the idea of Champagnolo components, too bad they weren't bourbon. But I only see the levers as Campy.

Ask the seller for the serial number and a close-up shot of the stay caps. That should clear up any confusion.

Sorry - seller stated in ad that he couldn't read the first three of the serial number and that the last three were 930 which was pretty much useless. Had asked for more photo and will post if I get some.

brian3069 - Sorry? all the components are Victory? I thought the actual brakes were something else though now I think I can make out the name on the front.

The cranks and rear derailleur are Victory, or Triomphe. Those two groups look identical. Can't be 100% sure from the pictures, but it looks to be all Victory/Triomphe to me, including the seatpost.

Seller admits its a repaint but declined to offer more photos suggesting I "come and see it". Since his ask was $150 obo I said no photos, no drive and warned him that even a good repaint effects value as would buying a new sticker set. Ball in his court.

The repaint probably filled in the first digits of the serial number; seller should have masked it before painting. He does have the option of scratching off the paint on that part of the serial number. But if he's uninclined to take more photos, he appears to be pretty unmotivated to sell.

Looking at the valves on the tubes, I certainly wouldn’t get too excited about it. Its certainly not an Aluminum frame, but 150 bucks for a bike with Campy components, if the frame fits, probably isn’t too bad of a deal.

Still kicking.
Probably for the best, Not being able to read the first three of the serial number and being squirrely raises alarms. Deciphering year an old trek comes down to the serial number.
