B17, Flyer, and Pro even less. Some other good popular saddles on sale today. I may have to talk SWMBO into letting me partake

Still learning
That's $10 better than I paid in December.
Of course there's this fabulous Brooks being offered for the last 9 months locally.
Saddle by Brooks English Saddle
Nashbar's sale is 30% off their discounted prices, plus free shipping. 18 models. A C17 can be had for about $110.

I got #17 about 6 weeks ago during a sale. I can't complain about what I paid, but it was a little more than $98.00.

The Pro's are in honey, "tan" with the Eroica stamping, ochre, olive, and maroon. The latter three are interesting colors, look like they might go well with the usual colors for NAHBS-style luggage, though not with any of my bikes. No black, though there are black B17N's.
I might however wind up with an SMP

That is a great deal a Brooks ProEroica, but I feel like I should have done the ride before I buy the saddle. Kind of like wearing the concert t-shirt and not seeing the band.

Let's say you've seen the band...and the shirt you bought at the time is old/trashed. Can you buy a shirt (not at the concert) and wear it in good faith? What if it's a band you've seen, but a different concert?

I wear a Temple sweat shirt and I never went to Temple. My school was TINY with no sports teams (unless you count drum circles, hacky sack and ultimate frisbee). My post-undergrad I did on the cheap at a few different schools, mostly community colleges. I wear a Temple sweat shirt because my dad is alumni and we've been going to temple games our whole lives.

Great post, and it gets into an interesting grey area...

I would definitely feel like a poser wearing a Harvard shirt. You must have gone to the school or have a close family member attend to wear any college's shirt.

Thanks for posting. I just ordered a Team Pro in maroon. We'll see which Capo it looks better on.

The first Big concert I ever went to was the Van Halen Running with the Devil tour. I made the mistake of buying the cheaper shirts out in the Spectrum parking lot. It was a rag after not to long. If I bought another now it would not really replace the original.

Got one of these to go on the Bianchi L'Eroica I won at the California event auction on Saturday night.
Figured since I did the ride (and bought the t-shirt ) it would be appropriate.

I would love to get another B17N in black. Sale price too but bad cash level, always the way it is!
i don't even wear or own a shirt from any of the places I went to college. Not my thing.

I didn't go there, but I do feel a connection with Temple sports teams. I've been going to games for 30+ years...and I associate it with my dad I guess. I never wore/owned a shirt from my alumni, but I do like to wear Temple. Villanova's success in the tournament probably further drives it...man I hate that team/school. I'm still ticked we let those brats parade around town.

Didn't they say that your bike came with the Eroica California logo'ed saddle? Maybe I imagined that.

Oh, New College just fits your description to a T so I thought it might be that. My brother is an alum.
