The legislature has adjourned "sine die." So it is not now in session.
In New Mexico, all bills sent after noon on March 16 that aren't acted on by the governor's office are pocket vetoed.
Since the regular session has already terminated "sine die" - a special session would have to be called to attempt to override any veto. Unusual feature of New Mexico, if no special session is called, they can override when the next regular session opens, EVEN if an election has intervened.
In the unlikely event that the constitutional officers of the executive branch of New Mexico went on vacation between March 16 and April 5, everything would be pocket vetoed.

That sine die is weird. Thanks!
Back when the pocket veto used to occur at the federal level (they now keep a pro forma session going to prevent it), there was (and is) no constitutional procedure for override.

The part about 5 feet is the STUPID part, not the mandatory BL part. The LAB will NEVER be satisfied with ANYTHING.
Cyclists are prima donnas********** Nobody needs an airport runway to ride a fricking bicycle. LOL Get SERIOUS
Share the damn roads and MUPs, whatever.....
YUP, Making UNREASONABLE demands will have unreasonable consequences. for SURE.

If some posters (not Specifically @GamblerGORD53) had bothered to read the Governor's statement, those posters would have seen that the Governor was very much in favor of the five-foot rule but saw that the MUP law would have been difficult to enforce as it was too loosely worded.
For those who actually read before posting ... assuming anyone does.

I really don't care about the 5 foot rule, I think it's pretty unrealistic, but would really hate the MUP rule. Doesn't sound like they had the votes to get the 5 foot rule passed without the MUP rule, so this might be the end of it for a while.
