That's too bad about the RD, looks like maybe the spring broke. I can't recall if these came wif fenders but the racks look like the OEM ones. Interesting changes with the Paul's and the wheels. I wonder if the wheels were happenstance pickups or intentionally done.

The price is nice for the condition but these only had a HiTen or Manganese frame/fork

There's no doubt in my mind whether it's been repainted. It has, and a lousy job at that.
Take a look at the fork crown, that's almost a gold color while the bike itself has more of a brown tint, and the paint's not smooth

I wish I had an extra $100, this Fisher only has 400LX RD but might make a good drop bar conversion or left as is for a path runner.

That Tempo in Springfield is a super deal. I built it for the owner about six or seven years ago with 8 speed Tricolor and new Alex wheels; if I recall correctly he paid about four times the current asking price. I doubt he's ridden it more than 1000 miles since, as he had at least one other bike.

Been here, posted that.

Concur on your conjecture as to model.

Definitely not a 56. I'm guessing 60 or 62-ish. Wish I had the space and place for it...

I was about to say that it had non-standard parts, but all upgrades and it was tastefully done. Now I know why!

I have this bike. Bought it new in ‘88. It originally came with full Campy components. 1988 was the first year of Bianchi production with the Puch brand.

Very big Team Champion. Huret dropouts should make it a '78, which would be Columbus SL tubing, not 531. Pretty tired and a hodgepodge of parts, but they are nice frames.

This bike has been listed for a while, but I don't know anything about it:

newyork.craigslist.org/fct/bik/d/giordano-rapido-21-speed/6451457843.html

Does anyone here have any background? The photos show a 531 sticker, but I don't know if I can believe it. I'd offer him $100 for it if the 531 claim is legit.

(sorry - can't post links yet!)
