This looks interesting and appears to be my size. Is it a fair price? I don't know anything about Exage Sport or Vitus.

Vitus 979 Road Bike - $350 (Wakefield)

Vitus 979 Dural vintage aluminum race bike. 51cm frame, fits more like a 54. Has Shimano Exage Sport groupset, 3TTT seatpost, Selle Italia Titanium saddle, Stronglight BB, aero wheelset and vintage campy aero bottle cage (no bottle).

Fully serviced, needs nothing to ride.

Super fast, lightweight bike, yet comfortable due to the aluminum frame and fork.
Cash in hand, pickup only

Nishiki

Road bike - $40 (Chapel Hill)

"bicycle type: road
frame size: 60 cm
make / manufacturer: Nishiki
wheel size: 700C
Nishiki road bike. Frame size is 23.5'' / 60cm. Helmet and lock included."

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...650132627.html

(I don't know which model, but it looks like a nice example, especially for $40? It's in my size range, and if my plate wasn't full, I'd snatch it up.)

Are you OK with an over 30 year-old aluminum frame, that is glued together? Do you weigh well under 150 lbs? If so, you might like it. I think Sean Kelly used to ride them. Has some excellent styling too, but there are so many nicer steel bikes around, I think I myself would pass. Plus I'm probably too heavy for a bike like that.

Isn't this a 1960s Specialissima? If yes, that's a $1k+ bike as-is. Maybe @Bianchigirll would know. Looks like what I'd seen in the past.

Here are links to pictures in case the ad gets deleted soon.

It's a 50:50 mix of House of Kolor "Tangelo Pearl" and "Sunset Pearl". This is an almost perfect match to the Centurion orange (I tested on chips on the fork before stripping everything). The Schwinn orange looks to be a more on the yellow side, with bit less red. It's probably very close to the straight "Sunset Pearl" color (The "Tangelo Pearl" is a very intense, and more red-ish orange.)
I remember that thread. You did an amazing job on that, have you ever painted professionally? What I'm looking for is similar to a bright caramel-copper-yellow-orange. Similar to the creamsicle Rambouillets I covet. I'll post some pics in your thread so I'm not going too far OT on this thread.

Cool bike, I would be tempted if it were my size. Freewheel and chain are toasty.

I realize wheels don't end up here very often, much less fixed 26" wheelset, but these look mint for only $25 near Columbia SC. I've been hunting both a 3spd 27" and SS 700C wheelset the last few months and keep seeing stuff like this.

I have an extra 700c wheelset, Surly branded. Shipping might be killer though. Lemme know if you want more details.

Austro Daimler Inter 10 frame - $30 (Foxboro)

Austro Daimler Inter 10 frameset. 60cm. Frame + Fork are both Reynolds 531 butted steel, Shimano ST dropouts, brand new Tange Levin headset. Cable guides included. Touch of rust, no dents, structurally sound.

Prev. owner tried to repaint entirety of toptube, bottom bracket, discovered color matching is hard. Decals have cool patina though.

Reason for sale: moving. Can't take all of my projects.

Raleigh Grand Prix Frame Set Vintage USA Bars Fork Crank Rings Etc. - $60 (Alewife-Cambridge)

Very nice Raleigh Grand Prix road bike frame set probably of mid-80s vintage, in vibrant red with chrome fork, stays, and headtube.
Nearly every section is engraved, embossed, or features decals with the Raleigh name, and the head badge says "Raleigh Cycle Company of America".
The seat tube measures either 51cm or 20 inches from crank center to top.
Includes all parts shown: bars, cranks, two front gear rings, chain, etc.
The horizontal dropouts should make it ideal for single-speed conversion if desired.
Whether restored or converted, it would be the basis of a very cool retro-build.

Please include a phone number with your response for quickest reply, and to distinguish it from the usual CL scam/spam.

IF THE LISTING IS UP, THEN IT IS AVAILABLE; NO NEED TO ASK.

Looks like a PGN10 (complete, despite pics) available for $250 OBO near California and it's been listed for a while - wheelsmith wheels, so wheels probably built by them in early days, win. I'd definitely drop $180-220 on this, it's worth the coin. Biased because I've been riding one for quite a few years now (because I really, thoroughly enjoy it!). Someone close may want to buy in if you're looking for something new and fun. I think this is an '85 (too lazy to look up the crankset, may be an '86)

Raleigh International (frame only, no fork) in one of my favorite colors for only $50 + slightly high shipping. A few hours left... No fork is sketchy but I can't see any clear damage.
