Congratulations. Twice. For riding the century. And bigger, for riding it after that early crash. In the language of the racing crowd, taht makes you a hard man. (Hard women except I don't think I have heard that term yet.)
You followed my post-crash rule. If nothing is broken or will be further damaged, get back on the bike and keep riding. I find that riding after is the best way to minimize the stiffness and hurt the next day. (You said you hurt for real after the muscle soreness wore off. I am willing to bet that not riding on would have lead to a next day you would not have wanted to see.)
Keep riding! Keep doing centuries! They do get easier. And life as one of those rare people who can (in the scope of the general population, not here!) is just plain better. My mom did her first at 60. I did one yesterday at 64.

Congratulations, may it be one of many great rides!
My first was just last year, 11 months after returning to riding. I had not ridden for 30+ years, then got the urge and found a bike at Goodwill. After two years, my Eddington Number is 33, and 35 is within reach.
and even moreso when riding disorganized events!

Congrats!
I rode my first century in August this year at age 58 and fortunately did not have to contend with a crash. That said, I had a severe crash in Late February where I broke my ankle and separated my shoulder. So I admire your ability to overcome obstacles....

Congrats! Completed my first century yesterday...there were a handful of us (60ish) checking on each other and commiserating at rest stops over the last 50mi---lead would wait until the last rolled in before shoving off again. Allowed us to ride our own pace, but knowing someone would miss us if the accordion didn't close in a reasonable time. A good day.
