Bicycle Repair Man !!!
My friend is a Moulton collector and it was his green Moulton "Speed" that I wanted to emulate and he drew his inspiration from the bicycle I pictured... having ridden his bike it made me want one of my own.
He already has half a dozen gorgeous restored and customized Moultons that span 30 years of production and had a few spares he wanted to give to people who would appreciate them.
I wish I didn't have the Dawes as it belonged to a friend who passed away earlier this year and he was building it into an all rounder / tourer and we had plans to take our respective folders on some adventures.
Bikes are just things... I would much rather have my friend back as he was one of the most brilliant and generous of people and considered me a mentor in all things bike related and was a great student and teacher himself.
His family gave me his Dawes and when it is finished I will raise a glass of iced tea and take it for a ride, in memory of my friend, and if anyone wants to do the same it will be kept here for safe keeping.

Had my first commute on the Circuit today, pretty darn nice. Might take a while to get used to the downtube shifters, last time I used them was about 15yrs ago before I got into BMX and MTBs. Good thing this are indexed though!! When I got home I had to make some minor tuning to the front D, the big ring has a bit of wobble to it. All in all, I'm happy

I keep moving my finger under the brake lever to shift...darn SRAM habits... then get the OH YAH moment..reach down. Did a 18mile lunch ride today, allot more gearing change needed then my normal 6mile flat commute. Plan for the climbing gears and max out gears before the decents so I don't have to take my hands off the bars (silly newb)

Winter 2012 Surly LHT by keifer.miller, on Flickr
Slowly transitioning into commuting. I've yet to acquire all the practical bits (my sweaty backpack stands as a testament to the pannier envy I'm feeling right now).

I modified the Velcros a bit for my needs, I think they come with a loop or something.
Thanks Ha ha ha! I took it off, it comes off too easily, I was afraid it'd get stolen quickly. I still have one on my weekend bike and my MTB.

That mount is a DIY hack. It's the T-shaped part that comes with the Topeak rack. I bought some cheap lights on Deal Extreme a while ago and they have exactly the same attachment brackets as Planet Bike lights or you can hack the ones that came with your lights too, but I kept them, just in case. The lights are basically a PB Superflash ripoffs.
So I cut off the parts from the light brackets that the lights clip into and glued two of these using epoxy to the T-part. You will need to drill holes in the T-bracket to bolt it to the rack like this.
