Electric seat post.
My new seat post - 360° electroluminescent light, it turned out brighter than I thought and bluer than I thought (it was meant to be white). I am quite surprised just how bright it is in moderate light.
Some pictures with the thing switched off - kind of looks pale pink when switched off, some with it switched on with the room lights on, then with the room lights dimmed and one in total darkness.
It's not quite finished as I am making a smaller inverter/power source based on those little 3V button batteries so I can shove it down the seat post - at the moment I am driving it from the 6V that I get from the little inverter which you can see on the saddle (which does just about fit under the saddle).

Has anyone 'round here figured out the cost of those framesets yet? I recall someone asking recently in another thread and would like to know.

it would be sweet if it was argon gas being used to make the light
but yea, thats pretty sweet, how flexy is it? (im guessing your using a polycarbonate as the material, does it have any reinforcements in the middle?)

Frame set - frame and a lovely carbon undrilled fork (which I am not running as I have a front brake) sells in the UK at around £440.
Yes, it's alloy and yes the graphics are a little over the top ! I wish they would have left a couple of tubes plain white.

The post is a Thomson Materpiece, the tube and head are integral-machined from one single piece of high strength 7000 series aluminum, so super super strong.
The light source is the whole surface (around 0.4mm thick) there is no point of light or light source as such (like an incandescent bulb being diffused through glass) - every part of the surface is as bright as any other.

) Just to recap, the only thing giving out light is the surface of the post (0.4mm layer) beneath that is a strong, manly, robust, lightweight and stiff Thomson seatpost ! 
It may look as though you are sitting on a fluorescent tube - (it looks very surreal in real life, something pictures don't really capture) - but you are sat atop a standard seatpost with some electromagic on the surface!

It would be amazing to do the rear triangle of a bike with, or at least the seatstays.
