I have to work extremely hard in the gym when I lose weight to not be skinny fat, so it’s a gift we share. It’s why I eat obscene amounts of protein daily.

I had a dream last night that the guy who owns the LBS where I bought the revolt couldn’t source the bike I ordered and gave me the model with GRX 815 Di2 instead.

Power just came back on, it was off for an hour+. Wind is still loud and it's a little drafty in here. Not like our last house, that place the blinds would swing around and make a racket when it was even a little windy. And the bugs could get in at will including scorpions and the big centipedes. Someone told me to try glueboards for the scorpions. Caught 2 lizards on the glueboards.
Mrs John caught this centipede and claimed it.

My buddy has one of the old Pepto pink disc Crocketts. I'm super jealous of it even though I don't have much use for a gravel bike.
He had the cantilever version initially and was going to sell the frameset to me for a pretty good deal, but it was a size smaller than what I would really need and the previous owner cut the fork steer tube really short

In the end I'm kind of glad I didn't buy it since it's specifically a cyclocross bike, not a gravel bike. I think tire clearance is limited to around 40mm and my friend says that even on the size 58 he's got toe overlap.

I don't particularly enjoy feeling like I'm going to throw up, and it's even worse when you're feeling that way and getting lapped

Riding a cyclocross bike is fun, especially on mountain bike singletrack. It's that the races themselves are just way harder than I'm interested in working

I did quite a bit of CX in the '80s and that is exactly what it is in a nutshell. Max HR from the start because usually if you aren't top 3 at the first corner, you might as well forget about podium.
