Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's been five years since Sky formed, and I still can't get used to Shimano on a Pinarello. I know it shifts better (and is cheaper,) but…

Bike has potential. Not with the saddle pack on and reflectors still on the bike however. The white cages aren't a bad touch since it does have some white on it. Bars seem kind of high as well. And you can remove the yellow warning stickers. Please.

Definitely not perfect still but I decided to get a little more serious about photographing the bike. New custom hand built wheels and chopped the steerer a bit.

Aero seatposts always look so weird when photographed from the side.

I never really thought so but I have to admit when it comes to aesthetics folks are all over the place.

It's just weird how wide and bulky they look and then when you look at the bike from behind, it's like there's nothing there.

Its not really a bad thing. Just when I see one my mind instantly thinks that it's some crazy huge post and really it's the exact opposite.

SST is a good looking bike, great paint on that too, especially like the blue!

Is that the titanium cage SRAM Red FD tho?

Not a fan of the frame shape, or the black and blue. But that looks like a Serfas blinkie on the seat stay, which I think is kinda cute.

I don't know about those Mavics. Seem like the lettering is quite excessive, but I can't really tell with those hideous tires. It isn't 1975 anymore, find a tire offered in black. Makes the bike look very odd. I do like the Shimano wheels, they match the bike really well. Very nice looking bike other than those tires...

Not too big on bike ascetics. I have some new handlebars incoming and 1 more silver water bottle cage (bought silver because it was the cheapest option). So, maybe I'll have a chance at redemption later .

That doesn't typically work out too well here. I'll say this: that's a nice wheelset and solid choice of frameset. Enjoy the ride!

Well that went way better than I was expecting.

Also, my advice...take a picture of the drive side.
