I have seen a tandem being used as a solo bike on my commute to work. I can't quite wrap my head around that. Turning radius is a PITA on a MUP.

Pretty sure this bike is the ride of a local "flowers and glow sticks" lady. Doing what a good U0-8 is supposed to do, providing a long lasting comfortable ride, for little monies and with a lot of class.

Seen in front of an architectural salvage place in Ithaca NY as permanent display. The bike is unremarkable but the hack, the framework of it at least, appears to be a production aftermarket setup with a chair made from expanded metal. And check out the finger joint on that wooden tubular rim!

Downtown Halifax, lookin all cool. Love this bike. Note the clamp on brake mounts...convert to 650B in 5 minutes tops. Curved seat stays, fork rake. I think it's an 84. Wow.

Paint's had some rather rough touch ups and it would be neat to see it dressed up classic-vintage like, but it was cool to run into one. This is no beauty and not even very rare or desirable a frame, but it demonstrates what a little ingenuity can accomplish. I went to the co-op on a mission and noticed a long bike hung over the rack when I was parking. I assumed it was a cycle truck or tandem drafted into utility service. On closer examination I saw it was a standard Specialized frame, probably a Hard Rock, with the entire rear swingarm from some full suspension bike bolted to the rear dropouts to extend the wheelbase. Additional bracing, using the red frame's rear derailleur to take up chain slack; pretty damn clever (and cheap!), I thought, if it works for the guy. Bolt up your milk crate and you're ready to haul.
