This really appeals to me. There's something just so right about it.

My favourite as it was Phil Anderson's bike - thanks for showing it "straightblock":
Here's one I own - from the 1991 Belgian Collstrop - Isoglass team:

The 7-Eleven team had bikes built by Serrota and a lot of them failed during the rides. I think there were something like a dozen frame failures during various races the year they used them. They were replaced by Merckx. Serotta has essentially said that the team pushed them into using lighter tubing than they should have used (it might have been true temper).
Not good for TrueTemper's rep or Serrota's either. (Ben probably should have used wheat he felt he needed to, and badge engineered the graphics.)

Teaser shot lol.
Performance Team U*S*A, the day I bought it. Yep just another average purchase from Bike Works last May. This one is almost done all cleaned up and set up with 7700 3x9 Dura Ace, also from the coop.

Team paint:
1992 Serotta Colorado II Coors Light Team Replica.
More photos here
1985 Raleigh Team USA. 555sl DB tubing and a middle quality bike, but I remember the US Racing Team Raleighs from '83-'85 and admiring the paint.
Team in name only:
1987 Specialized Team Allez (by Dave Tesch)
I've been told Specialized had problems with delivery and sales, so most of them went to competition riders as training bikes.

My Team and Team Replica Bikes
A few rarely seen Team and Team Replicas...
1986 Bertin C80SSC raced by a team out of Ft. Collins, CO. Still a bare frame but someday...
Photos of the complete bike as raced by the original owner are posted on the CR website:
https://www.classicrendezvous.com/Fra...Bertin_JMs.htm
1980's Echelon raced by Chris Huber.
1994 NOS Gazelle Team frame - eBay photo.
1984 Gitane Team Pro. I used Stronglight 105 cranks instead of the original Campy knockoff 106 cranks because I wanted (needed) to use a 38T small chainring.
1985 Gitane Professional bare frame. This was an NOS spare frame from a sponsored team in Iowa. They removed the gaudy original Gitane decals.
1985 50cm Gitane Professional Team Replica (with the gaudy Gitane stickers) . I keep it at my place for my niece to ride. Most small frames handle like wheel barrows. This one rides and handles like a larger frame.
I got this early 1990's Gitane ELOS as a bare frame from a seller in the UK. It had been raced by a sponsored team in France thus the Gitane racing blue color. It was decked out in this picture for a Fignon memorial ride with his number 61.
While not exactly "Team" bikes this brace of 1991 Billato built Lemond Team Z bikes are KOF. Lemond signed one of them on the NDS of the top tube.
1982 Motobecane Team Champion
1989 Peugeot SLX (custom frame made of Columbus SLX), raced in the UK.

A Few More Team Bikes
1974 Raleigh Team Pro, SB10, the 10th frame built at Raleigh's SBDU in Ilkeston, UK. I bought the frame back in 2007, it's still only half built up. So many bikes, so little time...
eBay pics...
My 1985 Raleigh Team Pro Reynolds 753. It was built at SBDU for Raleigh USA and originally painted in the red and black Raleigh USA Team colors. In researching the history, the bike was raced by a number of teams in the NW. It was repainted in the 1992 Raleigh USA Team Technium kit, probably by the Raleigh USA factory.
I suspect that it had a carbon fiber fork installed at one point because the original Reynolds 753 fork is still painted black.
1992 Raleigh USA Team Technium 753. A previous owner who raced it cut the number tag off ???
Another eBay picture.
Team bikes and Team Replicas are nice to collect but I like frames made of light gauge tubing not for the minor weight factor but because they ride smoother. At 75 bouncing from hitting bumps is hard on my old back.
