I would write "columbus airplane consipracy" on my tube, in sharpie.
and if i were to only have one bike, that would be in the top three choices assuming the geo is aggressive and the tubes are thick.

Just seems kind of odd that they made a frame that looks exactly like another frame, especially considering that they're both not out of some Taiwanese catalogue. The headbadges are similar, the fork looks identical, the dropouts are the same. At least these look a little different and have the fact that they're made in America going for them.

I'm sure if some company that wasn't Leader made a pretty clear rip-off of the 725 you'd be annoyed.

You can't come along and say stuff like this and then tell everyone else that they need to calm down.

You do your fair share of being rude and contentious on this forum Scrod, especially for being a moderator.

Would that by any chance be this? I'm confused because it is more expensive than the All City fork.

Sounds like you're really confused. All-city doesn't make a carbon fork with an oversized crown.

Agh I totally cringed at the first sight when I saw the pictures of that fork and at the thought of it replacing the 806 (no more?).... please tell me this is not so!

Pardon my brash reaction; it's styling would totally look good on narrower tubed/ steel frames, not to mention a cheaper(/ more proper in this case with a oversized/ integrated headset crown) alternative for a slimmer carbon fork from a wound up... but yea I will have to admit hands down that I'm a bit biased for aero frames on the roadie side, not to mention I have a 806 proped up right next to me on the desk, propped up to the wall.
A big part was the ribbon like weave on the new fork, I was not impressed at all, it's a complete joke compared to the 806's ribbon weave and let's face it, carbon with ribbon style weaving only looks nice when there is more seams visible. I do hope leader has a revision for their full carbon track fork.

You have to be honest, the 805 does look like a joke when put in comparison with any 806 series fork appearance wise, BUT price wise, it's totally understandable and economical/ what the masses have been waiting for.

I remember seeing (maybe on Rudy's blog?) a prototype carbon fork that wasn't drilled for a brake a while back...

That new Leader is looking really nice! But I'm confused - I know it's not Colombus, but is the tubing good or terrible?

The new i05TR has me wondering if they are making a new full carbon fork. Its seems very plausible to me since everywhere has been out of stock for a while. I ordered an i806TR back in may and it happened to be out of stock as soon as I ordered it. Now I'm on back order waiting for it.

It's basically the same thing without the fancy name - just as "Reynolds 520" tubes are just 4130 cro-mo made to Reynolds specs.

The shaping is completely different. Not that it makes any difference, but they aren't the same thing. Do you know if the tubing on the Leader is triple butted? I know the Reynolds 520 on the Kilo has many interesting shapes. Just because the basic material is the same doesn't mean the tubing is the same.
