Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm trying it out today on two bikes: the fat bike which has 'army green' matt paint, and the Blue Prosecco which has a carbon finish.

I'll let you know and will take some photos if the weather holds up here in London!

Here's my opinion on the Muc-Off Matt Finish Detailer:

It exceeded my expectations! I've got some fairly high-end car detailing products at home and this detailer stacked up pretty well. I just applied it using a micro-fibre cloth by spraying a little onto the cloth and polishing the bike. It goes on really easily and does not leave a streaky finish. I'd say it's a soft sheen finish. One other benefit I found is that this detailer will last a very long time as very little gets used per bike.

Here's a fair few photos of this detailer's finish across two bikes so you can judge for yourself.

I paid 5.99GBP for it from Wiggle. An absolute steal for a cycling-specific product these days! And it'll last a good couple of years across several bikes.

I ended up doing more than just the paintwork - tried in on the rubber hoods and grips and they came out nice too.

Ordered a pair of these, not due until next month but they should be awsome. This is the most money I have ever spent on footwear.

Wheelset plus

Today I received a set of Vuelta Corsa SLX disc wheels. Purchased from Nashbar, $245 after 30% off and free shipping. I have been waiting for this sale to purchase them. They come with both QRs and Thru axles. I am waiting on brake rotors I got for a better price from Jensen USA, also on sale. I will be mounting them on an Orbea Avant MD40. With the Jensen order I also received: 9 spd shimano chain, 10 spd shimano chain, 8 spd Sram chain, 9 spd chain pins, Shimano SPD, SH-51 cleats, Shimano 105/10 spd 50T chain ring and a set of Vittoria Cross XL Pro tires 33s. I guess I have some work to do. Next 5 days off for Thanksgiving.

The drop on my stock bars was too short, and they needed to be a lil wider, figured I'd save some weight while I was at it. 180g for $100, not bad, came in a cool bag too.

Picked up some winter boot/shoes at Nashbar with the extra 30% sale. Will help with cold road rides during spring/fall and on mtn bike rides. I hate having cold/wet feet.

Decent price, but can't find any data that supports these aren't (mostly) chinese, eg. https://roadbikeaction.com/being-the...uarters-video/

I got myself a pair of Continental Ride Tour tires, 700x37 for the ol Trek CrossRip LTD. So far I love them and can run lower pressures comfortably. It's been ages since I rode on skinny high pressure tires.

Apidura Race Frame Pack.

Primary use case is fast and light gravel riding in areas with few services but it might go on the road bike occasionally.

Got my son a new bike to replace the one that was stolen - this is his choice of course and for the price (£188) it is like new so he is happy and so am I. Needs some lights and mudguards next.

Some 3T gear and bigger tires for my new Tarmac. It’s going to be more of a rain p/winter bike.
New equivalent to the Ergonova bar the Superergo

3T Stylus 25, same post I have on my Felt and really like it

Got these in a 28, fit my Tarmac with room to spare and measure 30 mounted on DT470 OEM wheels
