Anyone know anything on Sanwa's? I've looked online but nothing concrete. Looks like a potential flip for fitty bux.

Most Sanwa are entry level and found as re-branded department store bicycles. This one appear to be entry level, mid-1980s. Almost certainly a hi-tensile steel frame based on the stem mounted shift levers, brake safety levers and stamped dropouts. The wheels appear mismatched, with the from having QR with an aluminum hub, while the rear hub is nutted and appears to be a 3 piece, steel model. Shift levers look like they may belong to the Shimano Z-series, as do the brake calipers. Crankset appears, swaged, possibly with a steel spider and chainrings. Looks clean but I'm seeing a lot of steel. Might be OK at $50.

Oh my, that is one big horse of a bike. All nice and clean. Original reflectors on the frame and wheels front & back. Probably got the original tires on it too. Looks like nobody ever rode it. And no wonder. You'd have to be about 6'-6" or taller just to mount up on that thing. So..................... yeah, it's worth $50. But, that's going to be one tough bike to flip. The only reason I would buy it would be for the parts. Looks like it's got some very nice bits. I would strip it down. Then, I'd hang the frame up in the attic and wait a few years until some 6'-10" tall 325 lb kid needed to replace a busted frame set. Been there. Done that. Be good. Have fun.
