Pinarello or Chinarello?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Always buy from a legit authorized dealer, then there is no question about what you are buying.

Eh...I'm only a quarter Chinese, and I don't speak for all Chinese or Asians, but I don't agree at all.

How's it any different than saying "***** Pinarello" or "*****arello"? All are implying substandard quality due to the country of origin.

Have you gotten rid of your Cinelli Hobootleg, because hobo is a term offensive to homeless people and your Gary Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo is offensive if you are not a native American. That's cultural appropriation and is very offensive.

You poor perpetually offended soul. I am so sorry.

Don't know what the ***** means so I'm not sure of your intended message.

The implication is not substandard quality, but rather counterfeit goods using a trademarked brand. The brand is Pinarello, the fake is made in China, it becomes Chinarello. Get it?

You go ahead and make stuff up because and deflect because you don't want to face the casual racism that you want to continue to practice. You probably never had the word "ch!nk" spit in your face and have no idea what it feels like.

Nobody is implying that these frames are bad BECAUSE they're made in China.

You should have included this in your original post on the topic.

Most folks in here are stand up people and won't tolerate hatred or discrimination in their presence. I think many in here would even stop using the term if somebody made a convincing case.

I don’t know dude, some of my ancestors escaped the gas chambers in Europe during the final solution campaign but still love my German cars. Oy vey! As my gramps used to say.

So, I take it you won’t be buying a Chinarello anytime soon?

It really isn't so much as where it was made, it is much more that it is being represented as something it isnt. I don't care where/who made it... sell it for what it really is.
