Denver's experience with the dockless bicycles and scooters is very different from it's experience with docked bikes. The dockless scooters and bikes were just dumped on the streets and people started using them. Lime, Bird and others just rolled them out without any notice nor without talking to city officials on how to do it properly. Denver eventually impounded the scooters and fined the companies until they worked out an arrangement.
Our B-Cycle docked bikes are much better managed, but people dislike the inconvenience of docking them instead of just tossing them aside.

Hard to kick them over if they're locked to a designated rack.

Dockless scooters and bikes are an annoyance, to be sure. But they're nowhere near the annoyance compared to vehicles. Not even a drop in the annoyance bucket.

I just haven't seen much of a problem with dockless bikes--they're obvious and it seems harder to put them down on their side than it does to leave them upright.

I don't know about ebikes but those bird and lime scooters I can definitely see. Those things are a serious nuisance. Check youtube for a millions reasons why.

There's someone caught on camera cutting the brakes on bikeshare bikes in Seattle. Kicking one over isn't cool, but at least not as sociopathic as that.

As usual, some people have no common sense and abuse them. Others use them responsibly. Hey...wait a minute...this reminds me of how cars are driven! :-)

This is why most of the newer models of e-scooters and e-bikes have all internal wiring. Nothing is visible to cut anymore. But unfortunately, there are still plenty of older ones still operating.

i got a kick out of this thread.
What I so far gathered is that if something is impeding the direction in which I am traveling, I should act as aggressive as possible in order to no longer be impeded? ie: A car parked across the sidewalk, just go find a forklift & run it thru the vehicle's side then lift it up out in to the street.
I sure hope it's not a "thing" to expect around here.

I service a small bike share. You'd be amazed what folks do to them.

The problem with vandalizing bikes that appear to be dockless ride share bikes is they might actually be private property that someone paid for.
Some of the discontinued Lime and Ofo bikes were purchased by private individuals as new, unused bikes. They'd make good gifts for folks who need a sturdy bike and can't afford one. You might be damaging personal property owned by someone who can't afford to repair or replace it. These might not be very good bikes but they're not any worse than the junkers I see some folks riding that have no functional brakes and with parts falling off or dragging the ground.
I haven't recently seen any dockless bikes cluttering downtown Dallas, but the scooters are beginning to clutter up some areas where it could be dangerous -- especially the TRE/DART train stations where a person tripping over a carelessly placed scooter could end up on the tracks. They wouldn't fall very far, but any fall can be dangerous in that situation.
