Is GMR open for cyclists right now?

Does anyone know if GMR is open for cyclists right now? My brother and I are hoping to ride it tomorrow or at least part of it. I read somewhere that it was closed to card but still open to cyclists. A lot of my usual segments are close these days and if GMR is I won't try to sneak through. But I wonder if anyone knows for sure to help me avoid heading out there for nothing.

On a separate note wow, the air quality sure has been great lately. The views might be great tomorrow if GMR is ride-able. Thanks in advance.

Looks like authorities are restricting access to trailheads but no mention of cyclists not being allowed on the roads.

https://www.sgvtribune.com/2020/04/0...onal-monument/

No mention of Hwy 39 being shutdown. Already knew GMR-GRR were closed to cars/motorcycles but were open to cyclists and hikers. I do not know if that has changed due to the new restrictions on trailheads.
https://dpw.lacounty.gov/roadclosures/list_closures.cfm

Here is updated info on all the road closures and all the trailheads. Looks like Hwy 39 is safe for now.

Make sure you filter by Today. Use Segment Explore to find a relevant segment, but that works best on the site, not mobile.

Did the 39->East Fork->GMR loop today with some added climbs on the 39 and GRR. 39/East Foirk was completely open with few cyclist. GMR/GRR had more. A few groups of 2-3 cyclists, so people are not obviously social distancing.

I am not an expert for these roads, but it seemed like the same number of cyclists. Many weekend warriors.

GMR is closed to cars but open to hikers and cyclists

BEWARE!! many areas have recently been closed to cyclists and hikers alike due to people in groups, not social distancing. Mt Lowe road up from Altadena just closed to cyclists.

I rode GMR today and saw several groups, one with about 20 riders.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not ride GMR in a group. You will force the gov'ts hand and they will shut it down. It is a gem right now to have it closed to cars. Don't fack it up for everyone. Ride solo

Anyone know if GMR is open to cyclists right now?
It is again closed to cars: https://dpw.lacounty.gov/roadclosures/
But last time they closed it, it was open for cyclists and pedestrians, but I seem to remember them stating that on the road closure site. Now it just says "emergency vehicles only"

I think the air quality is really poor right now in the San Gabriels due to the Ranch2 Fire.

last i heard, there was a fire nearish gmr/grr and still along the 39 up to east fork. i'd steer clear of that area.

if you must, perhaps wrightwood up to dawson saddle or the san berdoos/big bear lake area.
