We carry 7 brands at our shop (not Cannondale, Specialized, Cervelo or Trek). We have never had a frame warranty claim denied by a manufacturer (large or small) that was in the warranty coverage period and we sell about 600 bikes per year across all of our brands. Sometimes I think one incident gets posted online and gets passed around and retold a dozen times and people start to think that is the norm not the rare exception...
Honestly, the only real trouble we have seen with brands standing behind warrantys is with Bikes Direct brand bikes. With these we have seen customers come in the shop with a new bike issue and we identify the problem as a defect in the frame or components and suggest that the owner file a claim with the seller. In just about every case Bikes Direct sends the owner instructions to fix the problem themselves, or suggests that the issue is normal and to not worry about it. We probably have a couple if these come in our shop every year on average.

I sort of like watching his videos. His language degrades the impression of his engineering skills but I think they will have a hard time proving he is not technically correct.

Hambini is absolutely correct: manufacturers selling bikes for thousands of $$ with major QC issues that should have been caught before leaving the factory should be exposed and shamed. I purchased a brand new Ceverlo Aspero (carbon) this past summer. After only about 200 miles the rear wheel hub gave up the ghost. The bearings were simply toast. The bike shop that sold it to me said that Cervelo would not warranty it. And it took almost two months for Cervelo to even respond. So screw them, they deserve any bad press that Hambini or any others (they Aussie guy Leusner or whatever is another one who does frame postmortems on Youtube) heaps on them.

IMHO The first Frame (carbon) manufacturing company that proactively offers a written BB spec guarantee wins.
It is obvious that existing lifetime warrantees, really aren’t.
Its our worst fear, you spend $x,xxx on a bike and the OEM BB fails prematurely. Only to find out that the shell is the issue and any replacement you make will suffer the same fate.
Yet worse, even if you are aware, it’s a problem you can’t detect at time of sale unless you buy a bare frame.
Titanium is not my frame material of choice, but I’m feeling pushed in that direction.

OPEN has kind of replied to this on Instagram pointing out that the video is full of mistakes. The dropped chain-stay hasn't failed on a single bike in the past 5 years. The way carbon frames are made these days has nothing to do with what Hambini claims in the video. What Hambini describes (multiple parts joint together) is a manufacturing process that has been outdated 10 years ago. Regarding the BB tolerances the graphs Hambini showed seem wildly exaggerated as the variations from what should be norm are shown in an increased scale, so depending on what scale you choose you can make it look horrible. Obviously an aberration within .05 mm couldn't be detected by the human eye when shown in real scale.

They reviewed the Same BB I've in my R3, and I'm very happy with it !
I can also vouch for Hambini's level of customer support should you need it.
