It started getting darker when I left to ride and when I got to 3000 feet, or so, I rode into a cloud. By the time I got to the top it was windy and in the 30s. Put on my extra layer and started toward the descent and discovered I had gloves that weren't working. Hands were still stinging after I showered.
Only got sprinkled on a little and now it seems like it's over. Might be our driest year ever.

Got in my first metric of the year. In a shocker, it was made apparent that my strength and endurance have waned a bit over the winter. I'll have content myself with the thought that proper, skinny tires would have made me a good 20 minutes faster. Does that sound about right, or should I bump that to 40 minutes?

At least half an hour. It leaves it open.

My '95 Mazda Protege had manual windows and locks. People were constantly leaving my doors unlocked because they were used to the driver locking them automatically. When I first got my Subaru I would sometimes to forget to lock the doors with the electronic thingy on the key. One night, someone went through my gloze compartment and stole the winter floor matts out of the back.

*fingers drumming on tabletop*
Still no email from LBS. Grinding teeth. Trying to decide drop-dead time for email - how late can I leave here and still get there before he closes. I really think having the actual bike built up might reduce my Vintage Bike cravings. But he's good, and he's friendly, and he's treated me well over the years, so I'm not going to heckle him.

Not many “breakins” in the sense of vandalism, but people check for unlocked doors. In 2010 I had a bike and phone stolen from my house while the GF and I were home and awake. No forced entry. We must have forgot to lock the front door when we got home from Christmas shopping and dinner. We were in bed watching the late news. Heard the guy when he shut the door as he left. The first floor smelled like an unwashed person.
