Spring

Very fine day yesterday so I rode the bike through Colt State Park a mere 7 but pleasant miles. Temps in the mid 50s F and some shrubs are flowering and some trees are showing the beginning of leafing out. For some reason (increasing old age?) I'm happier to see Spring this year than previous years. It is going to be similar today but warmer.

Yes, glad it has arrived. And dry days, too.
60*F is a wonderful temp, haven’t seen 70* since Sept.

Think we're all glad for spring, though it would be nice if we weren't dealing with virus. Thought about riding the local MUP, but after taking the dogs out for a car ride, and seeing how packed it was (hardly a parking space to be found--too many people out and about), decided it would be impossible to ride the MUP. A few laps around our neighborhood has to do for now (or the local industrial park which has less traffic than the MUP).

Here I can ride all year round but in the early morning that can mean riding down to near freezing temps. This morning at 5:30 it was 40 degrees, and it seems like it's been high 30's to low 40's or raining for months. It should be getting warmer by now.

Tuesday the temp was sneaking up to around 65 degrees. The road bike and a pair of shorts did our first of the year 30 miles around the lake. Wednesday the temps were +/_ 50 and there was some wind. Ten miles worth of gravel around the neighborhood. Today there is 30-40MPH winds 30 degrees and 6 inches of snow. Ham and bean soup with corn bread, and skipe the grandkids hunting for glow-in-the dark Easter eggs.Just gotta love spring!

That big ole storm slipped just south of St Cloud MN. Sorry you folks had to deal with it. On the other hand, we've had a much warmer spring up here than I can remember. At least it never seems to be decent enough to ride most years...

Trees around here dropped their bud sheaths, or whatever they are... then it snowed. We may see some green over the weekend, when it's supposed to warm up to only 10F below normal. I rode my bike to the mailbox and back. Not gonna put 1/4 mile on Strava.

Another awesome Spring day today. Temps in the low 60s and just a light wind around mid day. More people than usual out on the bike path. Fortunately, I can ride out and back on the road, which has a good shoulder, and avoid the bike path altogether for future rides. The Ospreys are back and I am happy to see them.
