Nothing vintage, but I've got a few bike-related cups and glasses.

The things that makes the Ninkasi glass bike-related are (1) it's swag from my first mountain bike race, and (2) they sponsor my cyclocross team. (I started racing late in life.)

I had to get these two out of the dishwasher. They're in heavy rotation.

@AndyK, you might want to reconsider using the dishwasher on glasses you value for their uniqueness. the harsh detergent till take the screened logos right off of them over time. you can see those two are faded already. I hand wash my sentimental beer glasses only.

We have a rule in my household — whatever can’t survive the dishwasher gets destroyed. Well, actually it’s more of an observation than a rule. I love a few of these glasses but they aren’t heirlooms or anything. I’ll enjoy them more if I can continue to not give them special treatment.

Beautiful piece.

I've only attended one Oktoberfest in Munich and surely is one heck of a party. You see many dressed in festive attire and some with personal steins. Those are cherished and often carry a story or family tradition.

Years back, my grandmother told me the lids were for keeping from pigeon droppings. The massive beer halls were favorite perches for the dirty birds.

I'm hopeful to get to Germany someday. I've only been to low key Oktoberfest's here in California. I do wear my late father-in-law's lederhosen, though, but don't expect pictures.

Cedar Rapids. I go by there on the trail some but stick pretty much to pavement so I haven’t actually made the summit or earned the bottle.

Right on! I haven't ridden up or down it yet. Or even hiked it. Need to do that sometime.

Oh, that is good. That's very good.

Anybody here want to one-up that with some Curtis Odom salt shakers? Maxi-Car vinaigrette cruets?

Here's one I got in Asheville, NC a while back. Unfortunately it has since broken. I need to go back and pick up another; I can use a little long-weekend vacation anyway.

Riverview Highlands Ski and Tubing Slope

Looking uphill toward the southwest, 1980s.
Downhill toward the northeast, 1980s.
Landfill operations began in Riverview at the site just east of the WJR tower, off Grange between Sibley and King Roads, in 1968. The landfill itself, dubbed "Mount Trashmore", did not begin to take its current shape until 1971. In a move that would make the city of Riverview nationally known for adaptive land use, it was decided to turn the northerly section of the landfill into a ski hill and, in the early years of the 1980s, did quite well. The TV show "20/20" would air a piece in later years titled "The Town That Loves Garbage," and this landfill re-use was one of the main drawing cards.

General conditions would doom this as a ski hill, however. The late 1980s to early 1990s were (for the most part) very mild winters, and the majority of snow on the hill had to be man-made. The main criticism was of the trash underneath the surface warming it to the point that snow would melt. The ever-increasing budget for this operation, combined with declines in attendance, led the city to drop the ski attraction and turn the hill into a sledding and tubing area, with the tubing area on the north side, closest to Sibley Road. Although a good operation, it could not duplicate the charm of the original ski hill.

Since the early 2000s, the entire side of the hill facing Sibley Road now functions as a portion of one of the 9-hole golf courses Riverview Highlands has. The quality of the snow on the hill is no longer a factor, as winter activities no longer take place.

You guys are HUGE enablers. I was happy with all my souvenir cups and mugs and even a few pilfered from a hotel or two. Then this thread come up and I think, maybe I do need a bicycle related mug. Knowing I would likely not get to any bike related events where I might be able get such a mug, I looked on the internet. HOLY COW!! I thought Celeste bar tape was spendy but you need to donate a kidney to buy a Bianchi mug. Most I saw that I liked were in the upper $20 range plus over $10 shipping.

So what to do, what to do......... Then I had a brainstorm!

I love this pic, my favorite brakes and favorite bike.

Since I sadly had to junk the frame, because of the move and broken stay cap, I decided to immortalize my first ever new bike and first Bianchi

From my first STP in 2003. I was a one-day rider that year

And here's a pic of me on that day - July 12, 2003:
