Every press from the high school paper to the NY Times had Speed Graphics.
Some came with stories. The Graflex came with a mention that it was from the estate of a north-central nature photographer (and I forgot his name). The Rolleiflex hiding in the back of the German photo was the carry camera for a Chicago Tribune photographer. Have a big Speed Graphic in the back room that belonged to a traveling salesman who had a side business of motel postcards and used it to take motel pictures where he stayed, and then sold the postcards to the owners. Got the entire kit with that one.

I also remember a time training in a desert area when we had just driven down and back out of a small canyon cut into the ground and saw two A-10's flying in that canyon in our rear view mirror. That was a small, shallow, tight canyon and we were amazed they were flying in it.

I worked as a conveyor mechanic for the USPS. Many moons ago, a package containing a brand new XA was mangled by one of our bulk conveyors. The camera ended up jammed in the head roller. It stalled out the belt, tripping the over current relay. After I reversed the line to get the camera out, I tried it and it still worked. Impressive.

I bought my first SLR when stationed in Germany, 1967 Pentax Spotmatic. Still have one as well as a MX, ME, ME Super and a MX50 which
is auto focus. Haven't used them in years but want to get Pentax digital slr body that will use my K mount lenses.

Pentax ME wasn't bad either, but was aperture priority. Still, it was capable. Note, most of my B&W shots were done with TMax 400.

LOL @ C3PO. That or a scary dental X-ray machine.....
Some old iron on the local CL, although the seller is a long way from here. Looks like he'll have an old 4x5 Toyo up soon as well:

Or just Hog.
When I lived in KC, the 442d FW was stationed at Dickey ****er (Richards Gebaur) I worked not far from there and was often treated to the distinctive sound of the Hogs in flight. Photo below taken with a Leica IIIf.

The Triad Fotron - Several groundbreaking ideas, but hawked door to door.
and the 3D Nishika - 3D lentricular photo 35mm..Mostly failed 3D format originated by Nimslo
