Continuing my effort to keep this thread going
Not mine (yet) - but this frameset almost exactly fits what I’ve been seeking for awhile so it could very likely be my next build...

Therefore, I wonder, if you had one of these and showed up to work at TCB, if ol' Chas would make an exception.

I know it's not the first. Just wondering, as I've heard people seen oxidation on their raw Kona Unit (2013) frame - a fram which is also raw with just clear coat.

I am also curious about the durability of that finish (clear over raw) on the work frame. I recall previous frames finished that way didn't last too long before needing repaint else risk rusting....

Your cog is slipping.
A little surface rust on a frame isn't going to cause catastrophic failure.
There is a sticker right on the Mash Work frame stating surface rust will develop naturally over time.

Guess I'll try bringing this thread back again...
Been tarcking it up lately but I'm nervous without a brake even on my tiny gearing so may not last much longer like this

I use Allen key crank bolts because as nice as they make the crankset look...the "classy" Campag dust covers and bolts are a PITA
Gonna head out on this one now and hope some roadie group will let me tag along at the back even without brakes
