Pedals

Hello everyone!
I got a bmx bike with some iron pedals who broke on a wrong performed crank flip
So i have to get other pedals
The problem is the following: I bought some pedals from a friend to put them so i can ride the bmx until i get others, more profesional and those pedals won't fit
It's a problem on the pedal stand so i have to buy another or there was from the pedals? I have to precise that the pedal hole from the stand was too small
If i get another set of pedals and will be too small again can i make the pedal hole larger without affecting the performance of the bmx?
Thanks for the time given

Does your bike have a 1 piece crank?

save your money and upgrade to a 3 piece. if you're serious about bmx riding it'll be worth it.

want to keep the crank just get some cheap 1/2" pedals , maybe the plastic ones will be good enough.

wont cost much , break those, get more of the same.. low attachment to the parts..
