Coolest bike shop in New York City?
Hi, I am making a trip to new York for a few days and want to see a couple of really neat and nostalgic bike shops. The good ole brick and mortor type with lots of character. So does anyone on here have any suggestions on a must visit bike shop?
thanks Tim

Welcome to New York. I'm surprised no one has replied. Here are my choices based on my history of visiting bike shops in the city.
1) Conrad's Bike shop - 25 Tudor City Pl, New York, NY 10017 - 212-697-6966 - Definitely higher end, but has history.
2) Toga Bike Shop - 110 West End Ave, New York, NY 10023 - This place has been around forever and has all sorts of bikes.
3) Bicycle Renaissance - 430 Columbus Avenue New York, New York - Also a staple in the city.
This is just a few, there are many more, but these have beaten the test of time.
Enjoy your trip.

Old thread, but I always hit RA cycles if I desperately need something while in NYC.
