Amazing hill climb!!!

Today I rode my folding Tern link c8 bike up Mount Hamilton which is about 25 miles one way and 4275ft. It was 39F and rain then snow at the top. I pushed my self very hard with a gear ratio of 52 chain ring and 11- 30 8 speed cassette. Then almost got ticketed by a police officer for passing a road close sign, but I really wanted to see if I can make it with this bike. Coming down was scary with wet and snowy roads.

Congrats on the climb. How was it coming back down? I remember my last cold day ride up there and felt like I was going to freeze on the way back. Was really looking forward to the two little climbs on the descent so I could warm up a little. Also had to be careful watching for ice on some of the more shaded corners.

The way down was slushy and light snow but then it became really cold descending at 18mph, folding bikes handle quite good with the right skills and dual compound brake pads. It was a 10/10 in difficulty and scaryness.

Nice! Mt Ham is my go-to place for climbing but the recent below-40 weather, especially when coming back down, is making me go into wuss mode
