I took my e fatbike out before all the rain for a ride around Transcona. Lots of standing water everywhere. The Bio Reserve was great, much of the trail through it had mushy snow 3 to 4" deep. That was the most fun riding. And the transcona trail still had many stretches of 4" high snowbanks.

I thought I'd write to ask if there is any interest in participating (primarily) as a vendor for a bike swap meet here in the ol' Peggeroo? It wouldn't cost any more than the rental of a space for a few hours, and most likely it would be free of charge. I have a place in mind in Cresentwood and the guy said the use of his parking lot would be fine.

If so, let me know. It's an idea I have been tossing around for a bit.

Howdy folks,

Another new arrival. Just relocated to Winnipeg from Toronto and I'm loving it here so far! It feels really warm and welcoming, and it seems to have a really solid community of cyclists. Sadly I couldn't bring my bike with me, so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm trying to find something used under 1000, so I've been looking at older road bikes as I want to start doing long rides outside of the city (route recommendations welcome!)

Also, any recommendations on how to find a bike here would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone knows a good coop or bike shop to hang, learn, and use tools let me know!

Also, how many of you actually bike through the winter? And what are you riding?

Cheers

Hello Sun, I think you can pickup a free bike route map at any Library. I think those maps don't cover anything outside the City though. As far as finding a bike, there are many options. The local classifieds are your best value bet.

Hello everyone up there in the north. I'm checking in with you all from Florida. My wife and I will be traveling up through there in late June or early July with our RV and I am wondering if there are any good trails (preferably paved) that I can ride on and explore a little bit of your beautiful area. Also are there any online maps that you can suggest that I can look at to give me some help. Thank you in advance and see you soon, boomer.
