You see my biting wit killed the thread the last time, right?*
Leave it to me.
*(Note: btw, I wasn't even a mod yet, so you see killing threads comes natural to me.)

I'm reminded of all the mothers doing 5 and 10k races pushing their 3-wheeled baby strollers. I see carbon fiber bakfiets being the next big thing in cycling.

I have one of these on order, it will carry cellphone, wallet etc. in a front pocket and has a hidden pocket in the back for anything you'd like to conceal. I like the idea of having my valuables on my body instead of in bags on the bike if I go in a store etc. I know I'm a new guy, and a true fred to boot, even the LBS owner picks on me, and I bought a bike from him! I ride alone in rural areas, and you have to have some stuff with you, just in case. I got bit by a dog last sunday, so I'm adding some first aid stuff, and a can of pepper spray to my load too. Eventually, I'll probably have to buy a Harley in order to carry all this stuff.

I always get a laugh out of this. Guy comes in and starts a thread on something that has been talked about 100 times. People in the 41 tell the guy to use the search function.
Another guy uses the search function, finds a thread related to his question and posts in it. People in the 41 immediately want to know why an old thread is being resurrected.

I have no long sleeve jerseys with back pockets and I don't plan on buying any, but I have plenty thermal polyester mid layers that have a small pack just big enough for keys and a cellphone that is a good substitute.
Any alternatives besides a fanny pack so I'm not labeled a fred? I'm not buying any more damn cycling clothings when an alternative can be found.

Interesting how the dude that wants to know how he'll look in the flipped baseball cap also wants a fanny pack. You want some streamers too?
